Victorian Manufacturing Showcase 2016 celebrates success

Today over 400 people from manufacturing companies throughout Victoria gathered at Federation University in Ballarat to attend this year's Victorian Manufacturing Showcase, a combined ICN and State government initiative. This year's Showcase theme was 'Leveraging Opportunities in Growth Sectors'. Attendees came to be inspired, educated by world-class Victorian Manufacturer's and to network.

The event was opened by the Honourable Wade Noonan and the VMS Ambassador Gerry Ryan - OAM. Presenters spoke openly and honestly about the trials, tribulations, successes, opportunities and strategies they have employed over their years in business to overcome adversity, transform their businesses and leverage new market opportunities. The raw honesty was breathtaking and wonderful to see. The energy and interest in the room was palpable.

As past 2014 presenters and successful collaborators, Erika Hughes joined with Jeff Malone from SRX and Ron Weinzierl from APT Engineering (Australian Precision Technologies) to present the collaborative relationship that has evolved since they met as speakers at the 2014 VMS. This successful collaboration between our 3 companies is testament to the very real value the Victorian Manufacturing Showcase provides to the Manufacturing community in Victoria.

Manufacturing may be under stress in some sectors of the market, but it is thriving in many. The VMS showcases the wonderful success stories that have been created right here in Victoria. We are proud to have been part of the VMS journey since 2014.
