Paul Hughes

Managing Director & CEO

Paul Hughes founded Integra in 1991 and his role as Managing Director has a business development and product engineering focus. He has a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (First Class Honours).

Paul has built Integra into a leading, award winning, Australian industrial product development and manufacturing company. He has created a culture of innovation within Integra and strives to ensures that this is at the forefront of each team member's thinking. He believes that the future of Australian manufacturing is in relentless innovation and the ability to be agile, flexible and responsive to rapid market changes and dynamic market forces. He believes that there is no room for complacency in this industry and that there is still a big space for an Australian manufacturing footprint if this attitude is retained within Australia. Paul’s thirst of global knowledge in the area of industrial product design drives him around the globe to benchmark Integra against the best in this field.

Erika Hughes

Commercial Director

Erika joined Integra in 2001 to provide expertise in business management, business development and marketing. She has a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) and a Graduate Diploma in Management Leadership.

Erika launched her marketing career in advertising before joining Ericsson, the multi-national telecommunication service provider, where responsibilities ranged across sales, strategic business development, marketing and management. Her talent and performance was recognised within Ericsson through their management development program.

This business management and marketing talent is highly valued at Integra as she works with the entire team to ensure Integra and its people are performing at full potential and that Integra is recognised within the market for its positive contribution to Australian manufacturing and for its leadership in innovation and product development for its clients. Erika has also been recognised industry wide as she formed part of the judging panel for the 2015 and 2014 'Women in Industry' Award and has been guest speaker at many industry forums. Erika also served on the Northern Melbourne Regional Development Board as a business community representative to support the board in advising both the state and commonwealth governments on economic development requirements in Melbourne's north.

Russell Hughes

Director of Innovation

In 1993, Russell Hughes joined Integra Systems to fulfil his dream of harnessing innovation to develop engineering solutions for Australian industry.

Russell’s early trade apprenticeship has provided the foundation for a five decade career in production engineering, culminating in promotion to Managing Director of Rymer Lighting and Director of Manufacturing and Engineering at Howard Smith Industries. Along the journey, he developed his expertise at Caterpillar Tractors, Ericsson, International Harvester, Ford, Zenford, GMH and Sidchrome. Russell has travelled extensively and studied world’s best practice production engineering and brings this knowledge and experience to Integra and our clients.

Russell's contribution to the engineering and manufacturing community as an inventor, innovator, mentor, industry advocate and entrepreneur has been recognised industry wide through Lifetime Achievement Awards from Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame (2015 Honour Roll Finalist), 2013 Pace Zenith Awards (Winner), 2013 Manufacturer's Monthly Endeavour Awards (Winner) and Hume Business Awards (2012 Business Leader of the Year).

Paul Minty

Manufacturing Integration Manager

Paul joined Integra Systems in 2011 and brought with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in engineering, information technology, small business management and R&D.

Paul has a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) and is currently completing his PhD in Mechanical Engineering at The University of Melbourne.

Prior to working with Integra Systems, Paul spent 8 years growing and then selling a successful Information Technology company that specialised in setting up complex e-commerce platforms. Paul has also lectured and tutored at The University of Melbourne for over 15 years.

Paul’s responsibility as Manufacturing Integration Manager at Integra is to strengthen the operations at Integra to enhance our position as Australia’s leading agile manufacturing facility with a fully integrated approach to making it real for our clients. The integrated approach taken by Integra between design and manufacturing ensures the execution of the design incorporates Design for Manufacture, is delivered to the highest quality standards, utilises world class manufacturing equipment, and is truly agile and flexible to incorporate design changes at any point throughout the production phase.

Tony Tempesta

Production Coordinator

Tony joined Integra in 2005, bringing 25 years of knowledge and experience with CNC punching machinery and brake press operations.

Previously, in Manufacturing Supervisor roles at Rymer and Doherty Industries he was responsible for managing large teams of metal shop workers.

Tony's experience coupled with Integra's engineering know-how has enabled Integra to implement and maintain leading edge innovation in our manufacturing processes and machinery, ensuring our customers continue to stay ahead of their own competition.

Tony maintains the highest level of quality production output and ensures the team also strives to achieve and maintain this high level of quality and continuous improvement.

Tracey Robertson

Office Manager

With 30 years Office Administration experience Tracey joined Integra in 2012 to support the team. Tracey worked with Russell Hughes at Rymer Lighting for 10 years when she first began her career in office administration and we are fortunate to have her back as part of the team.

Over her career, Tracey has worked in the lighting industry, prestigious motor vehicle industry, quality assurance and recruiting/staff contracting. Her career path has been progressive and stable and she has contributed significantly to every employer she has worked with. We are delighted to have her as a key member of our team.

Steven Parker

Design Integration Manager

Steven has a Bachelor of Engineering (Product Design), completed with Distinction and has won 2 prestigious Swinburne Product Design Engineering Academic Awards. These were 'Project with the X-Factor' and '3 Fold Resources Design Competition'. Both of these awards demonstrated Steve's ability to think beyond the expected and deliver a revolutionary, yet cost effective and practical solution to a client problem.

Steven joined Integra Systems in 2014 as Product Design Engineer, and has now been appointed Product Integration Manager with full responsibilit for driving the Design Integration team to deliver product development solution to clients. His charter is to ensure all Design and Engineering resources are harnessed and engaged to deliver collaborative solutions, and rigorously refine these solutions, which will excite and inspire our clients as their ideas come to life.

Steven has an eye for detail and has brought with him an invaluable skillset including creativity, Industrial Design and the ability to make things look distinctive, combined with Mechanical Engineering and Design for Manufacture practicality. Steven is as comfortable operating production machinery to create prototypes as he is with CAD design and FEA.
