About us

From humble beginnings

Integra Systems was established in 1991 by Paul Hughes before he was joined by his father, Russell and then later by his wife Erika. Together, they sought out global progressiveness in manufacturing, which they then cleverly adapted to the Australian market.

The dream began by Paul Hughes in a tiny office in his parent’s garage as a mechanical engineering and product development design service. In 1993 Paul’s father Russell joined him to bring a long-awaited invention to life - the world’s first high speed coil processing line, now known as the Punch-IT Coil Processing Line. This award-winning invention then became the foundation of Integra’s manufacturing capability.

With over 30 years of product design and manufacturing experience, our loyal customers have enjoyed being part of this journey and as a medium sized enterprise, we are able to impart our experience and depth of knowledge in a diverse range of industries. We are proud of our history and the many transformations we have pioneered industry wide, and love contributing to the industry with our experience to help build Australian sovereign capability.

  • We live each day to discover and deliver creative and exciting industrial product and engineering design solutions with clever thinking and world-class execution, focused on the principles of circularity.

  • Integra has a unique work culture that encourages curious minds – and a fully collaborative, non-exclusionary approach to innovation. When you step inside Integra’s facility, you will experience first hand the inclusive, nurturing, creative and passionate nature of the team, and you too will be embraced and inspired by this unique culture that sets Integra Systems apart.

  • Our promise to our customer is to ‘Make Your Vision Real’ through breakthrough product design and world class advanced manufacturing. Our commitment to quality is no different. We know that trust is an important factor in making your vision real, which means delivering a quality product, service and fully integrated product solution to meet this promise is essential.

As a 100% Australian-owned family business, our entire team will show leadership and commitment, and bear the responsibility for establishing, implementing, integrating and maintaining our AS/NZS ISO 9001:2016 Quality Management System.

Our Quality Management System is not just about achieving certification, it is integrated into the company culture where striving to be best in our class is followed by best-in-class quality delivery. Our quality system is a live system that focuses on continuous improvement to support quality outcomes. There are systematic processes that overlay our product development and manufacturing environment which allows us to identify and activate quality improvements early via a Plan, Do Check, Act system, delivering outstanding results.

The Quality Management System will be monitored, measured, evaluated and enhanced regularly which is owned by the Company Directors, with regular reporting and communication of the status and effectiveness at all levels.

Our commitment to quality and continuous improvement will enhance your experience with us and will ensure that our promise to ‘Make Your Vision Real’ is never compromised.

  • Reducing our carbon footprint and waste minimisation is a vital consideration throughout Integra’s product design and development processes, and our advanced manufacturing systems. This philosophy has been a key part of our operations since our foundation in 1991, and is now formally recognised as ‘Circularity', contributing to a 'Circular Economy'. Circularity is more than just sustainability; it's a company ethos and entrenched in our company culture. We believe in a Cradle to Cradle (C2C) approach, which means designing and manufacturing products in a way that, at the end of their life, they can be reused, recycled or redeployed. In the end, materials are never destroyed; they are given a new purpose – hence the regenerative reference of 'Cradle to Cradle’ rather than ‘Cradle to Grave’.
